Entry 2...general update

(This is the second of 2 posts today, so go read the other one too...trust me, it's worth it.)

So I haven't been online because I'm in Peru, but I had a little time to PhotoShop a few pics to a small, easily uploadable on these slow machines-size. So here they are. In order:

The coast of the capital city Lima.



We arrived at Chaving in the early morning from Lima, around 6am. This is what the whole town looks like.

The Hostal Chavin, in which I am staying. It has a cute little courtyard.



Oliver opening the door to our room. Yes, it's a tiny little door. (People here are very short..probably because they're malnourished.)



Llamas on the site. There are 6 llamas that live there.



The infamous bullfight where someone died and I almost did discussed in the previous posting.





The Goose-Stepping school children of Chavin during the Independence Day Parade--I was in that parade! All the archaeologists on site were invited to participate.



My dry, dirty hands after weeks of work, never feeling clean, and always so dry.
